It's a good thing getting older

Another sleepless night and drowsy start of the day. Woke up at 3:00 am and did everything I could to kill time. And now my eyes are droopy. But today I am trying not to sleep in the afternoon so that I would sleep good at night.

As it is most of the time, I have nothing interesting to share but the travel log and useless thoughts. On my flight back to CA, as I said, I had a very comfortable time. One reason being Brad Pitt. Ahh..!! Only his name is enough to make me smile ;) Yeah.. Call me crazy or whatever. So, I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (which I had been trying ever since it was released). I wouldn't call it the best movie of the year but it sure was one hell of a movie. Ace acting, beautiful script, powerful storyline and strong direction. Inspired by the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, it is an unusual narration. I loved the way the story was put on screen. Being a big fan of Brad, I saw the movie coz of him, but it was worth every minute. And the best part - it makes you believe, how it is a great thing to get older. You could identify with all the emotions and circumstances. Another thing that made me overwhelmed was the backward clock, which becomes the last frame of the movie and reminds you of the past.

Fighting Jet-Lag

Worse thing about crossing the oceans - Jet-lag. I landed yesterday afternoon and have been trying to adjust since then.

This journey was by far the most comfortable air travel, I have done in last 3 years. And I must say, after traveling with 5 international air liners, no one can beat Singapore Airline's services. Other than the long travel of more than 24 hours, everything else was great, including the food. I was served Indian veg food all through my journey. And believe me, it was no less than any 5 star hotel food in India. Its important to have nice food on long journeys.. eh! :D

So, I slept for 2 hours in the afternoon yesterday and had been trying to kill time all night as was not able to sleep. Its morning now and I am drowsy. This really kills you. Not been able to sleep on time, even if it is only for a day or two. I am hoping to get used to the new timing soon. And if not, you would be hearing from me, more often..

Leaving on a JET PLANE!!

Time does have wings. I was only making plans and dreaming about my visit to India 5 weeks ago and now the trip is almost over and its time cross Pacific again. This trip was filled with mixed feelings. Some disappointments and many adventures. Many smiles and few tears. Reunions, and departings. Lot of travel (a lot). Shopping (which I absoultely hate). Social visits and unwanted (and unnecessary) advices and suggestions. Family gatherings and meeting old friends. Food.. (aahhh.. I am gonna miss this part "the most").

And I realized that I have not stayed at a place for more than one weekend. I have not been at the same place (city) for two consecutive weekends.SFO->Hyderabad->Nagpur->Indore->Jaipur->Delhi->Jaipur->Indore->Mumbai->Hyderabad->Tuljapur (going tomorrow)->Hyderabad and finally to SFO. Quite a journey. Was really hectic and tiring but was worth to every minute. And now is the worst part of any trip to India. Packing for the return. God!! I am so overwhelmed and the place is a mess with stuff all around. And I am yet to start.

I was missing my laptop and internet and finally got the chance and time to pen down my thoughts (which I failed to do actually). But now its time to wrap up this one and get back to work. Will be seeing you soon with more travel log. Ciao!!

P.S. - I have been listening to this song over and over ever since I came here.

All my bags are packed,
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye.
But the dawn is breakin',
it's early morn
The taxi's waitin',
he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die.
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back againJustify Full
Oh, babe, I hate to go.
